Peter Saville designed the Factory Records logo more than 30 years ago. A perfect pictogram, his graphic rendering of Manchester’s industrial skyline is timeless and, quite literally, iconic.

Here it is on the cover of FAC. DANCE 02, a forthcoming double-length compilation mining the Factory catalog for dance-floor gems by A Certain Ratio, The Durutti Column, ESG and more (due out September 17 on the excellent Strut Records).
